The smart way to find your Tradie

Ironing Centre

Find a Supplier

Ironing centres are a great idea, particularly if you are short on laundry space. But even if you’re not short on space an ironing centre can be a smart inclusion in your home design.

The Facts

An ironing centre is like a custom made cupboard in your laundry that houses your ironing board, iron, power point, a light and a shelf for sprays and water.

When not in use everything is neatly tucked away and out of sight. When you need to iron open the cupboard, fold out the board and turn on the iron, easy!

Ironing centres can be recessed into the wall when building or flush mounted after construction.

Some designs have boards that can be swiveled sideways if space is a problem and most have a timer switch so the iron will turn itself off if left unattended for an extended period.

Helpful Hints

Make sure there is enough room for you to fold out the board and actually move around the board to do the ironing.

Get the installation brochure and provide your builder with a copy so the Brickies can leave the correct size opening at the correct height.
